My grandfather, GR Ward, died last Friday, so it’s been a tough week. Papa worked hard his whole life and never let hardships or sorrow break his kind spirit, and he would want me to do the same. Papa also gave back and helped others, so I’m glad that our first show after his death is a benefit for Sutherland Springs Baptist Church at Tejas Rodeo in Bulverde on Sunday, November 19. All proceeds from the show go to help the members of Sutherland Springs Baptist Church.
We’re spending the week of Thanksgiving with our families and the following week on November 30, I’ll be opening for Randy Rogers (acoustic) at Brewster Street in Corpus. Then, we’ll be opening for Hudson Moore at Sam’s Burger Joint in San Antonio on Saturday, December 2. This will be our first time to play at Sam’s, so we’re really looking forward to this show.
Our new single, “Not Too Far to Reach” had the highest debut on Texas radio in the first week of release, and currently has over 47,000 streams on Spotify. We really appreciate the support from radio stations and our awesome fans. Thank you for believing in us and streaming our music.
Although my heart is heavy, I know my grandfather would want me to work hard and continue doing what I love. I’m especially thankful this Thanksgiving for my family, friends, and fans.
Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!
